Mt. Hood to Tbilisi

Nike ACG took the holiday 22’ collection overseas to the country of Georgia and tested the new line on a mountaineering adventure.
Within this collection the prints tell the story of Oregon’s various biomes, connecting the pack to nature. Originally conceived an abstraction on the mountain snow, “Snowdrift” was inspired by the ethereal landscape of the iconic Mt. Hood. The landscape was translated into a soft gradient filtered through a grainy texture alluding to snowy mountain valleys.

Lichen can be found in hundreds of species across Oregon. The “Lichen” print on fleece alludes to it’s prevelance. Created to be a textural camo, the print is bold but wearable.

Also featured is “Tide Pools” created from collaged imagery from southern Oregon coastal pools. Appearing as an abstract dye from a far, up close it reveals itself as a psychedelic vision of the shallow ocean.

I partnered with the ACG product team to bring this vision to life. From the initial brief to the final product, each element was carefully considered resulting in a season that evokes the story of Oregon’s landscapes while being trend relevant, wearable, and built to perform.
